We have 25 reptiles as well as our new Bug bungalow native insect and arachnid exhibit that is growing. Our living exhibit for both our native and exotic areas would also be included in the tour.
Field trips include an educational presentation (20-30 minutes) on insects with a focus on butterflies. Participants will also see the complete living life cycle of the butterflies for 10-15 species of butterflies. After the presentation on insects school-aged kids will work in teams to participate in a bug hunt (20-30 minutes) in the backyard of our nursery to find the bugs from the presentation. Completing a related art project is optional.
